Full Stack IAM Engineer (IT-PW-IAM-2025-69-GRAE)

Your responsibilities

Want the satisfaction of writing secure, elegant, and user-friendly code that enables the daily work of thousands of physicists? Join CERN's Identity and Account Management (IAM) team as a Full Stack Engineer and help shape the authentication services at the heart of one of the world's leading research institutions.

As a member of a supportive 9-person team, you'll contribute to the systems that ensure CERN users can work securely and efficiently. You'll be involved across the entire stack: Java, Python, and ReactJS - deployed on OpenShift and Kubernetes.

Required skills:

• Demonstrated experience with ReactJS
• Experience with Java and python
• Knowledge of containerisation
• Knowledge of secure coding best practices

Good to have:

• Experience using Kubernetes or Openshift
• Knowledge of Keycloak, SAML, OIDC
• Spoken and written English, with a commitment to learn the basics of French.

Eligibility criteria:

• You are a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State.
• By the application deadline, you have a maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation in Computer Science or Equivalent (or a related field) and your highest educational qualification is either a Bachelor's or Master's degree.
• You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
• Applicants without University degree are not eligible.
• Applicants with a PhD are not eligible.

Job closing date: 02.05.2025 at 12:00 AM (midnight) CET.

Contract duration: 24 months, with a possible extension up to 36 months maximum.

Working hours: 40 hours per week

Target start date: 01-July-2025

• A monthly stipend ranging between 5196 and 5716 Swiss Francs (net of tax).
