About Bunge and Our Team: As our Global Analyst Feed Grains, you will become a pivotal part of the Economic Analysis team; the nucleus of our global operations. Your role is to critically analyze a wide array of fundamental market data, with a focus on global feed grain markets, including corn and ethanol. What makes this role so exciting is that you will be at the heart of the global grains department, gaining unparalleled vision into the entire global commodity trade flows within Bunge.


We believe incisive research is a key leverage in predicting potential market needs and steering strategic decisions. Our analyst team are the experts in utilizing knowledge to consult with various stakeholders in setting data insight success metrics and effectively communicating them to our audience.

This role comes with significant responsibility for managing and moderating market discussions, requiring an outgoing and confident personality. You will be expected to actively challenge prevailing views and confidently voice your insights, whether they align or diverge. Ergo, an extraordinary eye for detail, exceptional organizational skills, and strong communication abilities are fundamental attributes we seek.


 


Your Core Responsibilities Will Include:



  • Objectively moderating feed grains discussions and proactively challenging the house trading view to cultivate robust analysis.

  • Leading and conducting conference calls, effectively contextualizing main market drivers within the global feed grains market.

  • Presenting process conclusions and critical insights to internal customers (commercial and risk management teams) and selected external stakeholders.

  • Provoking and facilitating discussions around key market drivers to better assist and strategically guide the commercial team.

  • Managing the global supply & demand analysis process for feed grains, with a critical emphasis on the 30-day to 18-month timeframe.

  • Conducting in-depth trade flow analysis, rigorously following feed grains markets, and dissecting market value constructs.

  • Overseeing and enhancing data collection, management, and analysis processes, including day-to-day data cleaning and maintenance.

  • Learning and effectively operating both existing and new analytical models as mapped out by the team.

We are aware that there is a room to grow, but it is a big plus if you already gained: 



  • A degree in quantitative field (Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science) or Economics.

  • 1+ years of experience in a similar role with exposure to commodity markets.

  • Experience in IT programming languages (VBA, SQL, Python) and expertise in Excel.

  • Good understanding of statistical, econometric, and predictive modelling concepts, machine-learning approaches, clustering and classification techniques, recommendation, and optimization algorithms.

  • Strong data mining, data analysis automation, data handling, and presentation skills and experience.

  • Fluent spoken and written English.
