Job Description - Head of sales - (Industrial Materials & Components )

Behind this job ad is a company looking for your expertise and capabilities. At the end of the recruitment process, the selected candidate will be offered a permanent employment contract (CDI/permanent role) with a long\-term perspective.


Profil

We are looking for a hands\-on Sales Manager to lead and grow commercial activity in Switzerland, selling materials and components used in production environments. This role combines team leadership with strong field presence: you will coach the sales team and personally engage key industrial customers across the country.

What you’ll do



  • Set the commercial direction and translate strategy into clear priorities, targets and actions.


  • Lead, motivate and develop the sales team (structure, coaching, performance management).


  • Stay close to the market through regular customer visits and active account development.


  • Build and expand relationships with production sites and key stakeholders (purchasing, operations, engineering, plant management).


  • Drive complex negotiations and close deals with a strong focus on margin, quality and cost awareness.


  • Improve sales execution: pipeline management, forecasting, reporting and cross\-functional coordination.



What we’re looking for



  • Proven experience in B2B industrial sales with measurable results.


  • Solid background in leading sales teams (people development, coaching mindset, natural authority).


  • Strong Swiss market exposure: you have already sold to manufacturing / production sites in Switzerland and understand how plants operate.


  • Strategic thinker who acts pragmatically and delivers—solution\-oriented, resilient, and customer\-driven.


  • Confident communicator who can credibly represent the business at all levels, from operational stakeholders to management.






Languages



  • German + French, business fluent (negotiation level), or




  • German + English, business fluent (negotiation level).



    (Additional languages are a plus.)


Travel



  •  within Switzerland.
