Housekeeper (live in)

We are currently seeking an experienced Live-in Housekeeper for a private family based in Bern, with a start date to be agreed.

This is a live-in position within a well-organised private household. The role primarily focuses on maintaining the property to a high standard of cleanliness and organisation, while also providing light support with the children when required.

The successful candidate will benefit from a fully independent private apartment within the residence, including a private kitchen and bathroom.

The family has two young children (5 and 7 years old) and two small dogs.

Main Responsibilities

• Full housekeeping of the residence (cleaning, organisation, laundry and ironing)
  


• Care and maintenance of delicate fabrics and household items
  


• Preparation of children’s lunch boxes
  


• Occasional supervision of the children when needed
  


• Supporting the smooth daily running of the household
  


• Basic care and presence around two small dogs
  

• Proven experience as a Housekeeper in a private household, ideally a minumum of 5 years
  


• Strong attention to detail and organisation skills
  


• Comfortable around children and able to provide gentle supervision
  


• Discreet, reliable and proactive
  


• Fluent in English 
  

Schedule

• 5 working days per week
  


• Working hours: 9:30 AM – 7:00 PM
  


• 2-hour break during the day
  

Salary : CHF 60'000.- gross yearly
