Job Description - HR Budget Controller



  • Planning and Analysis:
    Develop and manage the HR department's budget, including forecasting, monitoring, and reporting. Provide financial insights to support HR strategic planning and decision-making.


  • Cost Management:
    Conduct cost analysis of HR activities and initiatives to identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements. Monitor and report on HR expenses and variances against the budget.


  • Compliance and Reporting:
    Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies related to HR activities. Prepare regular financial reports and analysis for HR management and executive leadership.


  • Data Management:
    Maintain and manage HR financial data, ensuring accuracy and integrity. Utilize HR analytics tools to track key metrics and trends.


  • Collaboration and Support:
    Work closely with HR and finance teams to support various projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with financial goals. Provide financial guidance on HR policies and practices.


  • Risk Management:
    Identify and assess financial risks related to HR activities. Develop strategies to mitigate risks and enhance financial stability within the HR function.


  • Project Management:
    Lead and participate in HR projects, providing financial expertise and ensuring that project budgets and timelines are met. Assist in the development and implementation of HR systems and processes.


  • Performance Measurement:
    Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the HR department, providing analysis and insights to drive performance improvements.



  • Education:
    Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or Finance.


  • Experience:
    Minimum of 6 years of experience in financial management, preferably within an HR context. Experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and compliance is essential.


  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with financial software.
    • Knowledge of HR practices and principles.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
