Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Execute medical affairs launch strategy for Neuroscience programs in key International countries including transformation tactics such as innovative partnerships.
Partner with Medical Affairs organizations in key International countries and regions to ensure strong delivery focus on country needs.
Advisory to plans for evidence generation, MSL / Field Medical Affairs strategy, medical education programs, scientific publication planning and Medical Expert network development with TAs.
Provide input to and shape the development and implementation of innovative education and scientific communication plans for external stakeholders at International.
Financial tracking to ensure timely and cost-effective development & execution of medical activities.
Represent International Medical Affairs around prioritized portfolio with internal (Global Medical Affairs, Development, Biomedical Research etc.) and external audiences, in collaboration with International Commercial including the investment, medical and regulatory communities, as well as pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry collaborators/partners.
Provide direction and input into the development and implementation of successful reimbursement and market-access strategies.
Provide input to shape Field Medical Strategies, develops, and executes Field Medical plans, ensure implementation of key Field Medical initiatives, e.g., insight gathering, sharing and translation into action, development and conduct of trainings on disease area and medical/ scientific knowledge, and guides MSL deployment.
Provide proactive medical input to asset lifecycle management to consider new therapeutic opportunities. Ensure that Patient Access programs are supported within International Medical Affairs and delivered with full compliance.
Ensures International Medical Affairs activities are designed and executed in compliance with company policy guidelines and highest medical quality standards.
Essential Requirements:
Advanced scientific degree (MD, PhD, or PharmD) in Health or Life Sciences.
8+ years of experience in Medical Affairs from the Pharmaceutical industry.
Significant medical affairs pre-launch and launch experience in a major International market.
Experience working in matrix organizations and leading cross-functional medical projects, with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions and geographies.
Strong track record of leading complex medical affairs initiatives with clear impact on timelines, quality, and strategic outcomes.
Full professional fluency in English.
Desirable Requirements:
Experience in Neuroscience therapeutic area.

Expected Annual Base Salary Range for role: 150,500.00 - 279,500.00 CHF
The base salary offered is determined based on gender-neutral objectives, such as relevant skills, competencies and experience in accordance with the Novartis pay setting policy and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically.
In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for a performance-based bonus depending on certain performance parameters.
