Job Description - International VAT Specialist with accounting experience, 100%

As a VAT Specialist, you will be reporting to the Head of Accounting Zug / Global Head of Consolidation and will be part of our journey, supporting Kolmar’s further growth. If you are passionate about VAT and Accounting, enjoy working with diverse teams and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we would like to hear from you.

Your tasks:

VAT tasks:

Management of European VAT for different VAT registrations and different entities (VAT returns, EC Sales, EC Purchases and Intrastat filing)
Training our commercial and operational personnel
Keeping up to date of new developments / requirements and preparing Kolmar accordingly
Checking and processing invoices regarding VAT requirement

Compliance and Control tasks:

Maintain and enhance documentation of Internal Control System
Maintain OECD documentation regarding local file and master file

Accounting tasks:

Booking of payment orders in our accounting software J.D. Edwards

Support monthly, quarterly and year-end closing processes

At least 5 years experiences in Finance and Accounting in a multinational corporation or fiduciary service
Certificate in Finance and Accounting (Fachausweis in Finanz- und Rechnungswesen),
Certificate in international VAT or equivalent education
Advanced knowledge in MS Excel
Fluent in English and German, both written and verbally
Reliable, accurate and exact working method
Flexible, resilient and able to work under pressure
A good team player and able to work independently
