Investment Operations Analyst (100%)

On behalf of our client, a Zurich-based investment firm specializing in venture capital within the life sciences sector, we are seeking an Analyst, Investment Operations to join a dynamic international team based in Zurich.

This is an excellent opportunity for an analytical and detail-oriented professional to play a key role in the operational management of a sophisticated investment platform. Working closely with the Portfolio Management, you will support the full investment lifecycle across private and public market investments, fund operations, liquidity management, and portfolio reporting while collaborating with finance, external fund administrators, and the broader investment team.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate and oversee the operational execution of investment transactions across private and public markets

Manage trade settlements, investment closings, and trading activities across investment funds

Maintain portfolio company data, ownership structures, and investment records

Monitor investment allocations, positions, and public market transactions

Oversee fund liquidity, cash balances, and cash flow forecasting

Coordinate capital calls, distributions, credit facilities, and intercompany financing

Reconcile invested capital, valuations, and Net Asset Values (NAV)

Act as the key liaison with the outsourced fund administrator and support fund reporting

Ensure accurate transaction documentation and support operational administration

Assist with audits, regulatory reporting, and compliance with internal investment policies

Maintain portfolio management databases and monitor investment performance and KPIs

Support the investment team with financial modelling, valuation analysis, fundraising scenarios, and post-investment performance reporting

Profile:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline

Experience in investment operations, fund operations, fund administration, treasury, finance operations, or a comparable role within asset management, private markets, venture capital, private equity, or financial services

Solid understanding of investment operations, trade settlement, fund administration, and portfolio reporting; exposure to liquidity management, capital calls, financing facilities, or treasury operations is considered an advantage

Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage transactions and cash movements accurately in a highly controlled environment.

Highly organized, structured, and process-driven, with excellent planning and follow-through skills

Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data and support investment-related analyses

Collaborative team player with a proactive, hands-on attitude and the ability to work effectively across finance, operations, and investment teams

Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken; German is an advantage
