Investment Operations Associate

Tasks

We are currently seeking an Investment Operations Associate to take full ownership of the operational backbone of our portfolio management activities. This is an 80-100%, Zurich-based role supporting our Portfolio Management team day to day.

In this function, you will be primarily responsible for:

• Fund valuation & reporting oversight: Oversee fund NAV, reviewing valuations and reconciling figures across our funds; check performance and management fee calculations; and work with external auditors and administrators on financial statements.
• Investment mandate operations: Process payments and transactions for clients’ investment portfolios; monitor fiduciary deposits, loan roll-overs, and expiries.
• Cash flow & treasury: Manage subscriptions and redemptions across private and public markets, including the associated payments; maintain a rolling schedule to forecast capital deployment; and oversee bank accounts, FX conversions, cash deposits and liquidity.
• Data, records & client reporting: Manage access to third-party administrator and custodian portals; prepare and send performance updates and Excel overviews to clients; and keep our document records organised & up to date.
• Systems & process: Support the PM team in maintaining our portfolio management system and keep an operational handbook so our processes are standardised and easy to follow.

Requirements

The ideal candidate is a numerate, exceptionally organised, and reliable person who takes genuine ownership of their domain and treats accuracy as non-negotiable. You are comfortable across finance and investment products, enjoy bringing order to operational detail, and are equally happy reconciling numbers, chasing data, and improving a process. You do not need to have done every one of the above before - but you must have the affinity, diligence, and drive to own it and learn fast.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

• Typically 1-4 years of relevant experience in asset management middle/back office, fund administration, operations, audit, or a similar function
• A relevant degree (finance, economics, business, accounting, or related) and a strong affinity for numbers
• Solid working understanding of finance and investment products
• Excellent organisational skills, precision, and a strong sense of ownership
• Strong Excel skills
• Proactive, reliable, and flexible work demeanour with excellent time management
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
