Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Domain Expertise: Deep knowledge of physical commodity trading terms, trade lifecycle, transport, blending, quality analysis, and storage. Understanding of PnL impacts of logistics activities
Technical Communication: Proven ability to communicate effectively with highly technical developers located in remote offices and translate complex business concepts into implementable requirements
Experience: Minimum of 7 years in business analysis, product management or product ownership, within a commercial environment. Experience managing complex IT landscapes and system/business dependencies
Process Improvement: Demonstrable ability to analyse existing business practices, identify areas for improvement, and agree these with senior stakeholders
UX: Strong understanding of UX principles to ensure that the product design optimises user interaction and experience, enhancing overall usability and efficiency
Methodologies: Familiarity with agile software development methodologies and business process mapping techniques
Self-Management: Strong capability to self-manage, prioritise, and plan activities across multiple project work streams
Experience with ETRM/CTRM implementation, design, build or configuration would be plus
Experience with e2open or other supply chain management tools would be a plus
Key Responsibilities
Backlog and Roadmap Management: Prioritise the product roadmap according to business priorities. Ensure that the product backlog is strategically aligned with business objectives and includes clear and implementable requirements
Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain robust working relationships with business stakeholders, acting as the primary liaison to articulate business needs
Initiative Leadership: Act as an Initiative IT Lead on an ad-hoc basis, guiding large projects spanning multiple departments and regions
Business Requirements Analysis: Lead the gathering of business requirements, business processes and business scenarios for the area. Prepare appropriate documentation to hand over to design and delivery teams
Solution Design Support: Work with the functional architecture and delivery teams to shape the design of solutions, focusing on optimising business processes through enhanced usability design. Support delivery teams to ensure solutions meet business requirements
Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct preliminary testing of the product to cover business scenarios before it enters the testing cycle. Support quality assurance teams to ensure that the solution adheres to business requirements
Change Management: Assist change management and training teams in preparing business stakeholders for process and functional changes. Provide third-line support for production issues
Qualifications
Education: Excellent degree from a top-tier university in a field that demonstrates the need for logical thinking, precise understanding, and clear articulation
