Job overview:

The position of Junior Procurement Specialist for New Country Entries in EMEA is responsible for supporting the expansion of Restaurant Brands International brands across the EMEA through the development and execution of procurement strategies. The role serves as the procurement project lead for new country entry initiatives, managing end-to-end procurement workstreams while driving sourcing recommendations, supplier strategies, and cross-functional execution to enable successful market launches. This role will work cross-functionally with Direct Procurement, Marketing, Operations, Quality Assurance, Legal and Innovation to support the Burger King, Tim Hortons, Popeye’s and Firehouse Brand.

The role is based out of Zug and requires 5 days per week office presence. Travel within the EMEA region might be required.

Your roles & responsibilities:

  • Manage and own beginning-to-end procurement new country entry (NCE) projects across Burger King, Tim Hortons, Popeyes, and Firehouse Subs in EMEA.

  • Define, develop, and implement sourcing strategies for assigned markets and brands in close cooperation with business teams, franchisees, and other relevant stakeholders.

  • Ensure full alignment of Procurement strategies and execution plans with the Business Leaders (Mkt/Ops/SQA/GMs) and Master Franchisees

  • Identify opportunities to leverage regional and global supplier capabilities while adapting solutions to local market requirements.

  • Own and build selected supplier relationships to consistently improve supplier performance, availability, and business outcomes.

  • Facilitating innovation projects and new product rollouts in collaboration with cross functional teams.

  • Monitor project timelines, proactively identify risks, and drive resolution plans to ensure successful market launches.

Your skills & experience:

  • 2-5 years’ previous experience, preferred background in project management.

  • At least bachelor’s degree, preferably from business, finance, engineering area.

  • Exceptional business and financial acumen; comprehensive knowledge of overall business and its position in the overall marketplace.

  • Demonstrated ability to drive results through the management of projects, processes and cross-functional initiatives.

  • Strong commercial mindset with the ability to evaluate trade-offs and develop recommendations in complex business situations.

  • Advanced problem-solving skills and analytical capabilities in ambiguous situations.

  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills; able to influence across all levels including franchisees, suppliers, and senior leadership.

  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Eligibility to work in Switzerland without work permit sponsorship.

  • Fluent in English.
