The actual location of this job is in Basel Stücki, Switzerland.
For our successful Drug Product (DP) focused branch located in Basel and Stein, Switzerland, we have exciting opportunities. What you will do:
Provide support in analytical potency testing and method implementation within DPS Bio-Analytics to strictly meet our customer’s needs
Implement method establishment & pre-validation, method development, method troubleshooting, non-GMP DP batch release, formulation, and stability testing. Ensure all documentation meets GDocP standards and adheres to applicable EHS regulations
Conduct potency assays independently for method establishment or sample testing with binding assays (e.g., ELISA or SPR) and functional assays (e.g., CBA or Enzyme assays), including buffer prep and data analysis
Document assay performance under ISO, following Good Documentation Practices (GDocP) and right first time, and flag relevant observations to the supervisor for further assessment
Review and approve basic operational tasks performed and detailed by peer analysts, such as buffer preparation, calibration of pH meters, or balances
Contribute to investigations and troubleshooting for methods and lab equipment issues
Maintain a clean and tidy personal laboratory space, adhering to 6S principles and GDP standards for audit readiness
What we are looking for:
Apprenticeship, BSc or equivalent experience in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related field
Experience with software used for laboratory operations (e.g., Electronic Lab Notebook, LIMS, SoftMax Pro, PLA, DMS) is advantageous
Proven working experience in a research/technical role in the pharmaceutical or biochemical industry
Ability to report and describe scientific results
Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work within a team
Proficient knowledge of written and spoken English
