About the Opportunity

Foxmont Talent is partnering with a highly respected Swiss organisation to appoint an experienced Lead System Engineer to play a key role within its enterprise infrastructure team.

This position offers the opportunity to take technical ownership of a modern network environment, helping shape the future of large-scale data centre and network infrastructure while leading the adoption of automation and best practice across critical platforms.

Working within a collaborative engineering function, you'll combine hands-on technical expertise with architectural thinking, supporting complex infrastructure projects and influencing the ongoing evolution of a modern enterprise network environment.

Main Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation and continuous improvement of enterprise network infrastructure.


• Take technical ownership of modern data centre networking and associated security platforms.


• Deliver infrastructure projects from technical design through to implementation and operational handover.


• Drive network automation initiatives using modern Infrastructure-as-Code and configuration management practices.


• Produce technical designs, architecture documentation and operational standards.


• Provide technical leadership and third-line support for complex infrastructure issues.


• Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud and security teams to deliver resilient, secure and scalable network services.


• Support the ongoing evolution of a highly available enterprise technology environment.

Your Profile

We're looking for an experienced infrastructure professional who enjoys designing modern enterprise networks, solving complex technical challenges and driving continuous improvement across critical technology platforms.

To succeed in this role, you'll ideally have:

• Strong commercial experience designing, implementing and supporting enterprise network infrastructure.


• Proven expertise with Cisco ACI and modern data centre networking.


• Experience working with enterprise network security technologies and load balancing solutions.


• Exposure to infrastructure automation using technologies such as Ansible and Git.


• Experience delivering complex infrastructure projects within large-scale enterprise environments.


• The ability to provide technical leadership, influence architectural decisions and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary engineering teams.


• A proactive mindset with a passion for automation, continuous improvement and modern infrastructure engineering.


• Professional fluency in German, together with confident communication skills in English.
