Job Description - Logistics Analyst

The Position

The Global Supply Chain Operations Organization seamlessly connects markets to the global manufacturing network by centrally managing supply, inventory and replenishment planning for drug products. We orchestrate the value streams between sites and affiliates by balancing the demand and supply equations across markets, products, manufacturing assets and inventory points. We ensure right first time order fulfillment and delivery of drug products everywhere and anytime in the global network. 

As a Global Logistics Manager (Outbound) you trade and deliver Drug Substance, Drug Product and Finished Products to a defined range of packaging sites, affiliates and 3rd party customers within a given geographical region. This includes the on-time and in-full supply of products and required documents worldwide, starting with the release and ending with arrival of products at the designated final destination. Moreover, you build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, stakeholders and interfaces, lead discussions, root cause analysis, problem-solving efforts and process improvements to ensure that reliable and compliant supply is secured and performance targets and customer requirements are met or exceeded while minimizing cost and environmental impact. The Opportunity

Your general accountability is defined by the Roche corporate directives, guidelines and operating principles, as well as by the company's core values and behaviors. In this particular role you will have the following major responsibilities: 

  • Ensuring products are delivered on time, in full and in a compliant way 

  • Managing international distribution, logistics and trade operations 

  • Monitoring stock availability, executing transfer and order-to-cash processes ● Driving performance monitoring 

  • Managing and resolving operational issues 

  • Maintaining effective communication and collaboration across internal and external stakeholders 

  • Being responsible for the optimization of transportation and logistics 

  • Leading improvement projects and participating as subject matter expert in large cross-functional projects

Who You are

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field and/or APICS certification (or equivalent) are a strong plus 

  • Professional experience in supply chain and/or logistics experience in the pharma industry 

  • Decent knowledge of SAP MM/SD transactions 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English language 

  • Links the responsibilities with the mission of the whole organization 

  • You are open to changing circumstances and focuses on activities that provide the most value ● is goal-directed, has a data-driven mindset, is persistent; and driven to achieve Key results 

  • You are  self-accountable for meeting commitments and recognizes the contributions of teammates and peers
