1 Main job duties / responsibilities

You will be part of the Bank Risk team and join the second-line of defence of a growing Private Bank in Switzerland. The Risk team drives the risk management and internal controls framework of the Bank to ensure and support the sustainability, innovation and growth of our business.
As part of the Operational Risk team, you will be responsible for risk management projects, operational risk assessments and daily business activities. You will work with different stakeholders in both qualitative and quantitative assessments.
The activities include:
ï§ Thematic deep dives on different departments, understanding how each of them work and the relevant activities and risks.
ï§ Understanding of the applicable regulations as well as internal policies.
ï§ Preparation of risk assessments and reports on processes, controls, inherent risks and residual risks, providing a robust and effective challenge to the business.
ï§ Design of test cases as well as definition of the adequate criteria for different types of processes and controls.
ï§ Support in the remediation of internal control weaknesses with multiple stakeholders, supporting business units on ways to improve the quality and efficiency of their internal controls.
ï§ Reports to the different stakeholders, such as the Head of Bank Risk, Heads of departments, and Senior Management.
ï§ Participation in international projects with different offices and areas of the Bank.
ï§ Creation and maintenance of quantitative and qualitative risk indicators.
ï§ Data maintenance and system’s updates.
ï§ Automation of processes

Nice to have:
• Advance knowledge in VBA is an advantage
• Knowledge in Alteryx is an advantage
3 Required education
Erforderliche Ausbildung
ï§ Bachelor’s degree
ï§ Additional qualification in the area of Risk Management/ Internal Controls would be an asset
4 Required work experience
Erforderliche Berufserfahrung
ï§ Minimum of 6 years of working experience in Banking sector, ideally in Private Banking, in an Operational Risk Management function
