The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Process Engineer to join our team of engineers and process enthusiasts. We develop, manufacture, and run production equipment for the cosmetics, food and pharma market to provide high quality products for our customers and consumers. Our team is currently working on scaling up our first commercial production plant to bring products to market in the Fine Fragrance sector. Ourproduct has the potential to reshape this industry.

The Impact

As a Process Engineer at Microcaps, you will play a crucial role in developing and optimizing our encapsulation process systems and help us rapidly scale beyond the current capacity to fulfil customer demand. With your innovative spirit and industrial experience, you will bring new ideas and approaches to the chemical process of our production equipment. Your professional experience with clean process plants makes you a key player in improving and upgrading our continuous running process whilst maintaining the highest quality product output.

Your mission:

• Be part of amulti-disciplinary team that designs, develops, assembles, tests and commissions novelprocess equipment for microencapsulation processes
  
• Leador support process validation activities, including protocol development,execution, and documentation, in accordance with regulatory requirements
  
• Developand maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, andprocess documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory standards andindustry best practices
  
• Collaboratewith cross functional teams including both internal and external experts toachieve project objectives
  
• Performtesting, validation and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues andchallenges
  
• Staycurrent with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuouslyimprove design processes and outcomes
  

This role is a good fit if you:

• Have strong technicalbackground with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering/Process Engineeringor related field or higher. Apprentice background also welcome
  
• Have 5+ years background in processengineering (apprentices highly encouraged), preferably in the food, cosmetics,or pharmaceutical manufacturing
  
• Strongtechnical expertise in process design, optimization, and troubleshooting, withknowledge of relevant engineering principles and methodologies
  
• Proficiencyin process modeling and simulation software (e.g. MATLAB, or similar tools)️
  
• Familiaritywith regulatory requirements and quality standards applicable to manufacturingprocesses (e.g., FDA, ISO)
• Project Managementexperience
• Team player andexcited to work in a rapidly growing process technology company
  
• Are intrinsicallymotivated to design technical solutions for challenging chemical processproblems and have a track record of doing so
• Ability to communicate technical concepts tonon-technical stakeholders
  
• Feel comfortablecommunicating in both German and English
