Quality Technician II

Job Summary

The Quality Technician II at Jabil Switzerland Manufacturing GmbH plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality of products and processes through inspection, testing, and documentation, contributing to the overall success and reputation of our manufacturing operations.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform in-process, final, and incoming inspections of products and materials according to established procedures, blueprints, and specifications.

• Conduct various quality tests using a range of measurement tools and equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM, optical comparators).

• Identify and document non-conformances, defects, and deviations, initiating corrective action requests as needed.

• Assist in the investigation of root causes for quality issues and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

• Maintain accurate and detailed quality records, inspection reports, and documentation in accordance with quality management system requirements.

• Support the calibration and maintenance of inspection and test equipment.

• Collaborate with production, engineering, and other departments to resolve quality-related problems and improve processes.

• Participate in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support.

• Adhere to all company safety regulations and quality procedures.

• Provide training and guidance to less experienced quality technicians as required.

Job Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a technical field (e.g., Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering) or equivalent practical experience.

• 3+ years of experience in a quality control or quality assurance role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in a regulated industry.

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications (GD&T knowledge is a plus).

• Demonstrated ability to use various inspection and measurement tools accurately.

• Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 13485) and quality control methodologies.

• * Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Good written and verbal communication skills in English (German is a strong advantage).

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
