We are seeking a Business Operations Manager, Payroll Strategy to lead and optimize payroll and operational workflows across global markets. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution, ensuring operational efficiency, scalability, and accuracy in payroll processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, compliance, and customer experience to implement high-impact operational improvements. Accountabilities:
- Drive operational strategy across payroll products, services, and market expansions, focusing on scale and efficiency.
- Lead complex operational domains, designing and implementing programs that enhance automation, scalability, and business impact.
- Define, scope, and execute high-priority initiatives, coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver measurable outcomes.
- Analyze large datasets to uncover insights, identify root causes of operational challenges, and implement effective solutions.
- Develop and refine scalable workflows and processes leveraging technology and industry best practices.
- Partner with product, engineering, compliance, and customer experience teams to deliver high-impact operational improvements.
- Define KPIs and reporting mechanisms to track, evaluate, and enhance operational effectiveness.
- 3+ years of experience in fast-paced, high-growth environments such as tech, fintech, consulting, operations, or strategy.
- Proven ability to lead large-scale initiatives, assume ownership, and deliver results.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with data tools; proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, SQL, Looker, or Snowflake is a plus.
- Ability to break down complex problems into structured, actionable steps and drive execution.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across multiple levels.
- Experience working with product and engineering teams to implement operational improvements and automation.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, remote-first environment.
