Job Description - Director, Programmatic & Display Advertising

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Director, Programmatic & Display Advertising in Switzerland.
In this role, you will lead the strategy and execution of programmatic and display advertising across EMEA and APAC, directly influencing revenue growth and market adoption. You will partner with a large team of sales representatives, providing expert guidance on campaign strategy, media planning, and client presentations, while maintaining responsibility for achieving your own quota. This position blends strategic leadership with hands-on execution, allowing you to shape programmatic initiatives, optimize sales effectiveness, and drive measurable outcomes across diverse markets. You will operate in a collaborative, high-performance environment where your expertise in digital advertising and consultative selling will have a direct impact on organizational growth.

Accountabilities:

    • Own and achieve revenue targets tied to programmatic and display advertising across EMEA and APAC.
    • Partner with 30+ sales representatives to accelerate pipeline development, optimize proposals, and define deal strategies.
    • Act as a subject-matter expert in programmatic, display, native, and video advertising solutions.
    • Lead discovery sessions with prospects to define campaign goals, target audiences, and advertising strategies.
    • Build and present media recommendations aligned with client objectives and full-funnel marketing strategies.
    • Support pricing, negotiation, and packaging decisions to maximize win rates and margins.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with Client Success and Display Operations to ensure strong campaign delivery and performance.
    • Identify growth opportunities across verticals, agencies, and regional accounts, and provide feedback to improve positioning and go-to-market strategies.
    • Contribute to enablement by training sales teams on product updates, best practices, and strategic positioning.
    • Requirements:
    • 5+ years of experience in programmatic advertising, display media sales, or digital advertising strategy.
    • Proven ability to influence revenue outcomes in quota-carrying roles.
    • Deep understanding of targeting, segmentation, audience strategy, CPM-based buying, and performance metrics (CTR, engagement, optimization).
    • Experience in a sales overlay or specialist capacity supporting large sales teams.
    • Strong consultative selling, storytelling, and presentation skills.
    • Highly organized with excellent pipeline management and forecasting discipline.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively across time zones and regional teams.
    • Preferred: experience selling into agencies and enterprise brands, familiarity with demand generation and full-funnel media planning, and exposure to EMEA and APAC markets.
