Senior Data Engineer (all genders)

As part of our Data Science team, you work on customer-specific solutions:

• You are responsible for the development of interfaces to existing data sources (SQL, file, API etc.)
• The development of data preparation, aggregation and cleansing pipelines (ETL) is also part of your tasks
• The documentation of data structures in a data dictionary is a matter of course for you
• As well as the storage of data in a central data store (SQL, No-SQL, etc.)
• You will develop RESTful API services using established frameworks and standards (Flask, Swagger)
• You will be responsible for writing automated tests and documentation, as well as implementing CI/CD pipelines
• You take care of the deployment in different cloud environments, mostly based on container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift) or native cloud services (e.g. serverless)

• You have at least 3 years' experience in software development in an industrial environment and are up for the next big challenge
• Profound knowledge of Python, including libraries relevant to data science, is a prerequisite
• Knowledge of Machine Learning methods and other languages such as Java, Scala or Kotlin is an advantage
• You have experience with SQL (Postgres, MySQL, Oracle) as well as No-SQL (Mongo DB) databases
• You are familiar with orchestration tools such as AirFlow and Big Data processing technologies such as spark or Beam
• You already have experience with container technologies and micro-services, as well as cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• You are a true team player and enjoy communicating in German (at least B2) and English
• You have a high level of result and customer orientation and are willing to travel for projects from time to time
