	DURATION	Approx. 6 months, with the possibility of extension
	UTILIZATION	80 to 100%
	LOCATION	Switzerland (remote possible)

We are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel for an international food and beverage manufacturing group in Switzerland. The role covers a broad range of corporate, commercial and cross-border legal matters, with end-to-end responsibility and direct access to senior management. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, supporting international operations and commercial negotiations with practical, business-oriented legal advice. Fluency in Portuguese and English is essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Advise the business independently on a broad range of corporate, commercial and international legal matters

Draft, review and negotiate trading, supply, distribution and service agreements

Advise on cross-border matters in Portuguese-speaking jurisdictions

Support trading activities and commercial negotiations with pragmatic, risk-based advice

Handle corporate governance, compliance and general legal risk questions across the group's entities

Work directly with management and business stakeholders as a hands-on legal partner

Instruct and coordinate external counsel and local advisers where needed

YOUR PROFILE

5+ years of legal experience, ideally 7+, gained in an international company or law firm

Master's degree in law, ideally from Portugal or another Portuguese-law jurisdiction; bar admission is not required

Broad generalist background in corporate, commercial and contract law

Experience in international trading, commodities or African markets is a strong asset

Entrepreneurial, pragmatic and decisive, with the confidence to work fully independently

Fluency in Portuguese and English, both written and spoken, is required
