Job Description - Senior Relationship Manager - 100% (f/m/d)

We are looking for an experienced Senior Relationship Manager to strengthen the Commodity Trade Finance (CTF) department of TradeXBank AG in Zurich. In this role, you will be responsible for originating and managing an assigned portfolio of existing customers operating in commodity trade finance.

Your focus will be managing and developing a portfolio of customers operating commodity trade including, ensuring strict compliance with all directives and procedures of the Bank and the requirements of due diligence under the rules and regulation of Switzerland and any applicable cross-border regulations. You will be asked to offers high quality services in Commodity finance and offering a full suite of corporate banking products. The role requires strong sales capabilities and an in-depth understanding of Commodity trade finance and corporate products.
  • Increase the bank's portfolio operating in CTF
  • Manage and develop a portfolio of clients operating in CTF
  • Structure and review of new existing and new credit lines in accordance with clients dedicated needs and in line with the bank’s strategy
  • Prepare the Credit applications, Credit Approval forms (CCD) for submission to risk department and presentation to the Credit Committee
  • Assess and analyze corporate and transactional risks for existing and new customers
  • Regularly follow-up the clients’ financial positions, their general profitability, the collaterals or any other credit or non-financial risk (i.e. compliance risk) as part of the first line of defense responsibility
  • Structure and follow up the transactions with other departments (Financial Institutions, Documentary Credits, Loan administration, Legal department etc.).
  • Negotiate loan documentation and other legal documents
  • Follow up customer’s relation and foster cross-selling opportunities
  • Ensure the state-of-the-art KYC and compliance due diligence and periodic KYC and KYT review
  • Work closely with other departments for a cross-sell strategy
  • University degree in Economics or qualification considered equivalent
  • Min. 7-10 years of experience in ‘Commodity Trade Finance Sector’ with a seniority of minimum 5 years as Relationship Manager in a Commodity Trade Finance Department in a bank 
  • Strong technical and market knowledge in Commodity Trade Finance activities, with multicommodity experience
  • Good knowledge of banking products in general
  • Risk structuring approach
  • Excellent communication, marketing and selling skills
  • Good analytical and social skills
  • Good organization and administrative skills
  • Ability to adapt to different cultures and willingness to travel
  • Dynamic, self-motivated, result oriented
  • Team player – good cooperation/interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in oral and written English and German, French would be an asset 
  • Computer literate with excellent command of MS Office applications
  • Possess a valid Swiss/EU passport or an applicable Swiss work permit (mandatory)
  • You will join the front-office team of the bank 
  • Close exchange and collaboration with all teams and top management of the bank
