BLENT is the Data Platform for the hospitality industry that aggregates data in real-time from a plethora of various data sources and provides managers with reports, alerts, forecasts, and insights to improve their performances and increase profitability.
BLENT has been founded in 2019 by a team of international Hospitality and Tech experts with years of experience and successes. We support a vast global clientele within the hospitality sector, including hotels, restaurants, wineries and distilleries. We are now experiencing huge momentum across the hospitality sector.
We are passionate about what we do. With BLENT, we want to impact our industry at different levels. Our focus is on Hospitality expertise, excellence in technologies, and outstanding service delivered to our customers. We really believe that great products come from great teams. That's why we are looking for talented people, who like challenges and bringing real solutions.
In the role of Senior Backend Developer you are expected to quickly learn and understand our application and its architecture. You will spend your time implementing new features and further developing our systems with the main focus on the backend: the APIs, services and data pipelines that ingest, consolidate and serve millions of data points from our clients' systems every day. You will report directly to our CTO and take real ownership of critical parts of our platform.
Requirements:
Experience in the hospitality industry or with hospitality software is a huge advantage - for example hotel systems such as Opera, Protel, Mews, Apaleo, Lightspeed or SIHOT, POS and RMS tools, or a good understanding of hospitality and F&B KPIs (RevPAR, ADR, Occupancy) as well as accounting and business management concepts (like P&L). If you know how hotel data actually flows, you will be productive here from day one.
Soft-skills:
This position is based in our office in Nyon, Switzerland, on-site five days a week (possible remote work for one day or two days a week). This is not a remote role.
You will work in a multicultural environment, with colleagues and customers located in many different regions of the world, and we offer competitive compensation. To qualify for this position, you must be legally entitled to work in Switzerland or in the European Union.
