ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a hands-on, analytically strong (Senior) Manager FP&A to join the Finance team at PolyPeptide Group. Based in Baar, Switzerland, this role reports to the Head of FP&A and Investor Relations and plays an important part in developing financial analyses, business cases, scenario models and decision-support materials that help shape strategic and operational decisions across our global development and manufacturing network.

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical capabilities with a pragmatic, execution-oriented mindset. We are looking for someone who is comfortable doing the actual analytical work him-/herself—including data compilation, financial modeling, business case preparation, presentation development and management analysis—while also contributing to the further development of FP&A capabilities at Group level. Depending on experience and potential, the role may evolve into a team leadership position over time.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop robust financial analyses, business cases and decision-support materials for strategic initiatives, investments, operational improvement opportunities and management reviews.

• Build, maintain and continuously improve financial models to support scenario planning, long-range planning, investment decisions, margin development, capacity considerations and other business-critical questions across the global network.

• Partner closely with business functions and site finance teams to understand operational performance, challenge assumptions, identify value drivers and translate complex data into clear financial insights.

• Evaluate profitability, cost structures, revenue trends, capital expenditure requirements and other key performance drivers to support strategic decision-making and margin optimization.

• Develop concise financial storylines and high-quality presentation materials for senior management, Executive Committee and Board of Directors discussions.

• Prepare ad-hoc analyses and management reports in response to business needs, ensuring conclusions are practical, well-supported and actionable.

• Support cross-functional projects by providing financial input, modeling support and clear recommendations based on quantitative and qualitative analysis.

• Contribute to the monthly, half-year and annual financial reporting processes, focusing on key performance indicators, performance trends and insightful commentary across PolyPeptide’s global development and manufacturing sites.

• Support the annual budgeting and forecasting processes through preparation of selected templates, assumptions, consolidation tools and Group-level analyses.

• Contribute to the further development of FP&A processes, data quality, reporting standards, systems and tools, including ERP and business intelligence platforms.

What You Bring

You are an analytical finance professional who enjoys working close to the business, developing business cases and turning complex data into practical insights. You combine strategic thinking with a strong execution mindset and are comfortable operating in a global, fast-paced environment. You take ownership, work independently, and are motivated by the opportunity to support high-quality decision-making in a growing, publicly listed life sciences company.

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related field; an MBA or relevant FP&A certification is an advantage.

• Approximately 5–10 years of relevant experience in Controlling, FP&A, financial analysis or business finance, ideally including experience in a listed company environment.

• Experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, CDMO or broader life sciences sector preferred.

• Strong technical skills in financial analysis, financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.

• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics or similar; experience with business intelligence and reporting platforms is an advantage.

• Ability to work with large data sets, structure complex information and translate analysis into clear business messages.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain financial topics to both financial and non-financial stakeholders, including senior leadership.

• Strong attention to detail, sound judgment and the ability to connect financial results with operational performance drivers.

• Self-motivated, proactive and resilient, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

• Hands-on, pragmatic working style with a willingness to personally prepare analyses, reports, presentations and decision-support materials.

• Fluent English skills are required; German, other languages an advantage.
