About the Opportunity

A successful Swiss technology organisation is looking for an experienced Senior System Engineer to join its infrastructure and workplace engineering team.

The organisation develops and operates complex technology environments where reliability, security and high-quality engineering are central to its services. You’ll join an experienced technical team with genuine ownership over architecture, standards and the continued development of the underlying platforms.

The role focuses primarily on Microsoft on-premise infrastructure and Citrix, combining hands-on engineering with technical projects, automation and platform development.

Main Responsibilities

• Design and develop Microsoft infrastructure solutions.


• Operate and improve Windows Server environments.


• Manage Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops and ADC.


• Lead technical migrations and infrastructure projects.


• Resolve complex 2nd and 3rd-level issues.


• Drive automation using PowerShell.


• Develop technical standards and documentation.


• Work closely with Network and Security teams.


• Participate in an on-call rotation.

Your Profile

• Several years of Microsoft System Engineering experience.


• Strong Windows Server, Active Directory and domain infrastructure knowledge.


• Good Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops experience.


• Knowledge of Citrix ADC.


• Experience with IAM and PAM environments.


• Understanding of ITIL processes.


• PowerShell and automation experience advantageous.


• Relevant IT education or equivalent experience.


• Strong service and problem-solving mindset.


• Professional German language skills.


• English language skills advantageous.
