About the Opportunity
Foxmont Talent is looking to speak with experienced Network Infrastructure Engineers interested in joining a modern, highly available enterprise technology environment in Zurich.
This opportunity is suited to an engineer who enjoys taking ownership of complex infrastructure where performance, resilience and security are critical.
You'll work across a broad networking and security landscape covering switching, routing, firewalls, VPN, WLAN and data centre technologies, combining hands-on operational responsibility with involvement in infrastructure engineering and modernisation projects.
With significant investment continuing across infrastructure, cloud and cybersecurity, you'll have the opportunity to work with modern enterprise technologies while helping evolve platforms that support business-critical operations.
Main Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor and support highly available enterprise network and security infrastructure.
- Investigate and resolve complex incidents across 2nd and 3rd level support, with a strong focus on availability, performance and security.
- Diagnose critical network issues and help restore services quickly and effectively within business-critical environments.
- Work across LAN, WLAN, routing, VPN, firewall and wider network security technologies.
- Collaborate closely with Network Engineering, Security and Infrastructure teams on platform improvements and technical projects.
- Take ownership of network initiatives from planning and implementation through to successful production deployment.
- Support technical requests and changes across switching, routing and security infrastructure.
- Participate in an on-call rotation supporting critical technology services.
- Contribute to the continued automation, standardisation and modernisation of network operations.
Your Profile
We're interested in speaking with network professionals who enjoy getting close to the technology and are comfortable taking ownership when infrastructure becomes complex.
You'll ideally bring:
- Strong professional experience supporting complex enterprise network environments.
- Hands-on knowledge of LAN, WLAN, routing, VPN and firewall technologies.
- Strong practical experience with Cisco networking technologies, ideally operating around CCNP level.
- Experience troubleshooting network and security incidents within highly available or business-critical environments.
- Knowledge of technologies such as Cisco ASA, Firepower, ACI, load balancing and Web Application Firewalls would be advantageous.
- An interest in network automation and experience introducing automation into operational environments would be a plus.
- A structured, analytical approach to troubleshooting complex network architectures.
- The ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, security and wider infrastructure teams.
- Professional fluency in German together with good communication skills in English.
