About the Opportunity

Foxmont Talent is supporting a Swiss organisation looking to strengthen its Cloud Engineering capability with an experienced OpenStack specialist.

The role offers considerable freedom across a mature private cloud environment, combining hands-on engineering with platform development and technical ownership.

You'll work with modern infrastructure technologies across OpenStack, Linux and automation, helping improve an environment built for scale, resilience and long-term growth.

Main Responsibilities

• Engineer and evolve OpenStack cloud environments.


• Work across compute, networking and storage services.


• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration.


• Improve platform resilience, scalability and performance.


• Troubleshoot complex cloud and Linux issues.


• Contribute to infrastructure architecture and design.


• Collaborate with Platform, Network and Security Engineers.

Your Profile

We're interested in experienced Cloud or Infrastructure Engineers with strong OpenStack expertise.

Ideally, you'll bring:

• Strong commercial OpenStack experience.


• Advanced Linux administration and engineering skills.


• Infrastructure automation with Ansible, Terraform


• Terraform and/or OpenTofu experience.


• Knowledge of KVM, VMware or similar virtualisation.


• Understanding of Ceph or distributed storage technologies.


• Networking knowledge across TCP/IP, DNS and load balancing.


• Exposure to Kubernetes or container platforms is advantageous.


• Professional German and English communication skills.
