Your Role & Responsibilities:

✔️ Maintain, administer, and improve Linux and Unix-based physical and virtual infrastructure across 20+ global locations

✔️ Monitor systems proactively, analyze logs, and manage incidents, ensuring optimal uptime, security, and performance

✔️ Deploy, troubleshoot, and maintain critical cloud and on-prem environments, including microservices-based virtualization platform, virtualization stacks, and monitoring solutions

✔️ Contribute to the automation of system deployments, configuration management, and service orchestration using tools such as Puppet and Foreman

✔️ Participate in infrastructure improvement projects, including secure architecture and network segmentation

✔️ Perform root cause analysis and post-incident reviews to prevent future issues

✔️ Support junior system administrators in resolving technical escalations, whether originating internally or from partners and customers by providing clear guidance and hands-on assistance in complex cases

✔️ Document operational procedures and contribute to knowledge-sharing within the team using clean, structured documentation

Required Skills & Experience:

🔹 5+ years of experience in Linux/Unix system administration in production environments

🔹 Solid experience with virtualization technologies (KVM preferred, VMware or similar also a plus)

🔹 Strong experience with monitoring tools and log management solutions (Zabbix, Grafana, ELK stack, etc.)

🔹 Excellent understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VPN, firewalls, routing)

🔹 Deep understanding of infrastructure automation and configuration management with Puppet (Ansible and Foreman experience is a strong plus)

🔹 Hands-on experience with containerization platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, or similar)

🔹 Familiarity with incident and change management processes 

🔹 Experience with application and DB deployments in a production environment

🔹 Scripting skills (Bash, Python, or similar) to automate routine tasks

🔹 Fluent in English (both written and verbal)

💡 Bonus Skills (a strong advantage):

✔ Experience with the design, deployment, licensing, and support of VMware products, including Cloud Director, Cloud Director Availability, ESXi, and vCenter Server

✔ Version control systems knowledge (GIT, Mercurial)

✔ Experience with JIRA Service Management, Confluence

✔ Experience with SQL DB queries and PostgreSQL commands

✔ Security hardening knowledge (SELinux, AppArmor, SMACK, etc.)
