We are looking for a  highly skilled and hands-on Senior Test Automation Engineer to drive the quality, performance, and reliability of our software solutions to the next level.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining advanced automated testing frameworks with a strong focus on backend systems and comprehensive API testing. Your expertise will ensure our systems are robust, scalable, and defect-free.

 Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts for backend systems, with a strong focus on API testing
• Translate technical and business requirements into effective and reusable test scenarios
• Execute automated test cases, analyze results, and report defects in a timely and detailed manner
• Investigate and troubleshoot failures and issues during test runs
• Ensure seamless integration of automated tests within CI/CD pipelines
• Define and implement quality control standards and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with the development team to understand application workflows and develop comprehensive test strategies and provide technical guidance

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 5 years of hands-on experience in building/improving test automation framework, with a proven track record in API testing
• In-depth experience with tools such as Postman, SoapUI or similar
• Solid knowledge of SQL for data verification and test setup
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, including test design, automation, validation, and troubleshooting
• Hands-on experience in tools such as Tosca Tricentis
• Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)
• Experience with Jira and Xray for test management
• Excellent command of Italian and English (spoken and written)
• ISTQB Certification or similar is a plus
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and working in Scrum teams

Location Requirement:

• Please note that a fully remote work policy is not offered for this role
• Candidates should be prepared to relocate to Canton Ticino/Switzerland or towns near the Swiss-Italian border
