Solution Architect / Lead ABS Developer Claims

For our client, we are looking for an experienced Solution Architect / Lead ABS Developer Claims to support an international claims environment starting 01.08.2026.

• Analyze how global software components can be implemented locally in the claims / motor environment

• Define and elaborate the target architecture for the local integration of group components

• Specify local adaptations, extensions and technical requirements

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to developers across different locations

• Coordinate and align with international development teams

• Ensure quality through code reviews, unit tests and system integration tests

• Align local adaptations with relevant stakeholders

• Support the implementation of architectural guidelines and technical standards

• More than 10 years of experience as a Lead Developer, Senior Developer or Solution Architect

• Strong experience working with international development teams

• Proactive, hands-on mindset with strong ownership

• Very strong Java development experience, ideally with Java 17 or higher

• Experience with Spring Boot 3.x

• Experience with REST APIs, microservices and event-driven architectures

• Experience with Kafka

• Experience with MongoDB and PostgreSQL

• Familiarity with Git workflows, pull requests, merge processes and code reviews

• Experience with JUnit testing

• Experience with domain-driven design

• Experience working in agile environments

• Confident use of development and delivery tools such as Eclipse, IntelliJ, Jenkins, JIRA and DBVisualizer

• ABS know-how, especially in the claims / claims file area (nice to have)

• Experience with CISL / CISLv2 (nice to have)

• Experience with the ABS Business Layer, especially in a claims context (nice to have)

• Experience with ABS Extensions and ABS Core Plug-ins (nice to have)

• Knowledge of claims business processes and standard claims process flows (nice to have)

• Experience with OSGi / Eclipse Plug-ins (nice to have)

• Cloud knowledge in Azure and/or AWS (nice to have)

• Camunda knowledge (nice to have)

• German language skills (nice to have)
