Sourcing Manager, CMO/D&L

The Manager Manager Strategic Sourcing will have global category/sub category responsibility (categories in scope are Contract Manufacturing, Packaging and Labeling, and Distribution and Logistics). 
This position will report to the senior Procurement leader for Europe, manage senior stakeholders, and strategic supplier relationships.  The Manager/Senior Manager Strategic Sourcing must facilitate sourcing to achieve competitive prices and with terms and conditions that safeguard Biogen. By partnering with stakeholders, this Manager/Senior Manager Strategic Sourcing will ensure the needs of the business are met by leading the sourcing process from identification of requirements, understanding of the supply marketplace, conducting the RFP, and planning and conducting negotiations.  The successful candidate must be able to understand and translate business needs into procurement opportunities and strategies that drive significant value to the business. The candidate must have an executive presence and the ability to present and interact with senior level management.
This is a global, strategic sourcing position responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies for multiple categories of spend that deliver value to the business by reducing risk, improving quality, and reducing costs.  This includes leading cross-functional teams to develop sourcing strategies, executing the sourcing process and negotiating contracts for the majority of spend in each category to meet client needs as well as corporate imperatives (eg, social responsibility, diversity, compliance, savings, etc.). 
In addition, this position is expected to build and/or sustain relationships with their respective senior management clients to ensure Procurement is aligned with their objectives and is viewed as a trusted business advisor.

A minimum of 5 years of procurement experience with a broad range of category experienceBachelor’s Degree required
MBA – desired
