Job Description - Team Lead Facility Management & General Services

...a highly motivated Team Lead Facility Management & General Services for our Human Resources department.
  • Lead the Facility Management & General Services including energy management with KPI measures for costs, energy use and waste management and improve these KPIs set for this area 
  • Creating and managing the budget for the respective cost center including administration of contracts, invoices etc.
  • Managing office infrastructure e.g. planning and maintenance of desk allocations as well as of office and meeting rooms interior design
  • Ensuring the efficient use of resources for building and laboratory technology in the required quality
  • Responsible and representative person for building tenancy and tenant meetings; main contact for external service providers, technical services, authorities and neighbors
  • Supervision of third-party service providers when carrying out their activities on site 
  • Coordinating the SiBe meetings and audits with internal and external participants and active participation in the SiBe team responsible for the Facility Management & General Services aera
  • Ensure compliance with the applicable Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) requirements in the area of responsibility and enforce the relevant Basilea directives and regulations
  • Coordinating and participating in internal and external safety inspections
  • Commercial apprenticeship (KV)/commercial training with a technical background and/or a degree in related business, engineering, property or equivalent
  • Qualification in Facility Management and project management
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience, experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry would be beneficial
  • Very good language skills in German and English, knowledge in French is a plus
  • Ability to work independently, friendly nature, enjoying dealing with people
  • High service and customer orientation, discretion and flexibility, as well as excellent communication and negotiation skills at different levels are required
  • Ability to solve technical problems providing various options for remediation, and to provide reports and business case evaluations
  • Willingness for on-call duty, therefore ideally living in the area of Basel, max 30 minutes commute
