Job Description - Technical Sales Specialist 80-100% (f/m/o)

Heidelberg Instruments Nano AG (HIN) is one of the most successful high-tech startups in Switzerland. We offer a truly unique technology, which revolutionizes the fabrication of tiniest nanostructures required for many cutting-edge technologies ranging from quantum electronics to DNA sequencing.
Backed by our mother company in Germany, we are pushing forward with our goal of widely replacing and complementing nanofabrication machines used in R&D and industry.To support this endeavor, we are looking for a Technical Sales Specialist to bring our NanoFrazor technology and its applications closer to existing and future customers.Required:
  • International sales experience of technical equipment
  • Excellent English in both oral & writing, further languages are advantageous
  • Superb communication and presentation skills, confidence to hold product & application presentations at customer sites or at scientific conferences
  • Willingness to travel
  • Openness for new technologies and applications
 
Advantageous:
  • Background in lithography, nano- & microfabrication or related fields
  • Strong network in the science and technology community
  • Experience with government funding procedures of research institutions
  • Chinese in oral & writing
 
Your role and responsibilities:
  • Establish new and foster existing relationships with customers
  • Attend trade shows, conferences and other marketing events
  • Travel to potential clients worldwide, particularly in Asia
  • Technical presentations and demonstrations how a product will meet client needs
  • Negotiate tender and contract terms
  • Maintain distributor network with communication and training
  • Collaborate with R&D team to discuss inquiries from potential customers
