Job Description - Territory Sales Manager, Interventional Cardiology & Emergency Medicine

Role:

In this role you will not be selling commodity products – you will bring life-saving innovations such as TAVI accessories, ECMO technologies and solutions for congenital heart defects directly into the OR and the cath lab. You will be the strategic partner for cardiologists and surgeons, contributing to measurably better patient outcomes across Switzerland.

You operate as if you were running your own business. You thrive on new business acquisition (hunter mentality) while being equally capable of developing existing accounts sustainably.

Your Territory: Switzerland
Switzerland offers an exceptional concentration of leading-edge medicine in a compact geography: university hospitals in Zurich, Bern, Basel, Lausanne and Geneva, specialised cardiac centres, and a strong appetite for clinical innovation. With approximately 8.8 million inhabitants, three language regions and a demanding procurement environment, this territory is a strategically important growth market for our DACH organisation.

Your Profile: 
Cardiology Expert or Passionate Hunter
We are looking for a highly motivated individual – whether driven by years of sales experience or by deep clinical expertise. In the Swiss market, where the proximity between nursing, technology and medical decision-making is particularly close, hands-on clinical experience can be a decisive advantage.

Professional Requirements:
Completed commercial, clinical or technical qualification or degree – e.g. Nursing (cath lab, ICU, OR, stroke unit, anaesthesia), Perfusion Technology, Medical Engineering, Business Administration with a Healthcare focus, Neuroradiology Assistance, Biomedical Engineering or equivalent.
At least 3 years of experience in medical device sales or comparable complex products in a clinical setting. Alternatively: at least 3 years of clinical experience in interventional cardiology, cardiac surgery, interventional neuroradiology (thrombectomy), ECMO or emergency medicine with a demonstrable interest in transitioning to a commercial role.
Proven track record in new business acquisition (hunter) and/or systematic account development (farmer). The Swiss market demands both.
Confident presence in clinical settings: the cath lab, OR and ICU are familiar territory for you. You engage with physicians and nursing professionals as equals.
Understanding of the Swiss healthcare system (SwissDRG, hospital financing, cantonal procurement processes) is a plus.
Fluent German. French language skills are a strong advantage for covering the Romandie region. English language skills are a plus.
Residency in Switzerland, ideally in the Zurich, Bern or Basel area. Willingness to travel throughout Switzerland. Category B driving licence.
