Trader (Mid-Level)

JOB PURPOSE 

The role is to lead the trading business in a specific market, being responsible for the positions, risk, and ultimately, the profitability of that business, as well as develop and maintain the quantitative tools necessary.

KEY ACTIVITIES

Lead and develop a team of junior traders.

Work with a team of quantitative specialists.

Managing trades from inception to post-trade analysis, including building trades recommendations, pre-trade analysis, execution, position management and settlement.

Design, develop and maintain the quantitative methodologies and tools required to perform the trading activities.

QUALIFICATIONS and TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Experience in trading, risk, research and quantitative role within commodities


• Excellent levels of Microsoft Office tools specially Excel/VBA


• Experience working experience in the field of commodity derivatives trading with comprehensive knowledge of commodities products, their conventions and modelling techniques.


• At least working knowledge of one quantitative programming language among Python, C++ and R


• Theoretical understanding and hands on experience in developing quantitative models


• Strong analytical skills and background in commodity industry


• Theoretical understanding and hands on experience in developing greenfield and brownfield business
  


• Good sense for market development

LOCATION: Zurich, Zurich -  Up to twice a week at the base office (Hybrid)
