UNIX / Linux Infrastructure Engineer

Required Background
5-10+ years of experience in UNIX/Linux Infrastructure Engineering, System Administration or Platform Support.
Experience supporting business-critical production environments.
Proven background in infrastructure operations, incident, problem and change management.
Experience working within regulated enterprise environments, ideally banking, financial services, insurance or other highly controlled industries.
Strong understanding of operational controls, resilience, availability and platform security.
Exposure to datacentre operations, infrastructure lifecycle management and production support processes.Technical Skills
Strong UNIX/Linux administration experience including RHEL, SLES and Solaris, with solid scripting capabilities using Bash/Korn Shell
Hands-on experience with infrastructure automation, monitoring, performance optimisation, capacity management and operational support within enterprise environment
Good understanding of backup & recovery solutions, storage/SAN technologies and ITIL-based production support processes
Experience with Ansible or comparable automation tools is a nice-to-have
Exposure to high-availability and disaster recovery solutions
