Asian Cuisine Restaurant â 5* Hotel , Switzerland

Job Title: Wok Chef

For a brand new 50 covers Asian fusion restaurant ( predominantly Authentic Chinese cuisine )

we are looking for a professional cook, Wok Chef.

The restaurant will open this winter (contract in working progress) in a great spot in the well known 5* Hotel, all year round destination.

The concept is authentic Chinese maybe summer mixed with Japanese â more casual but the quality of food has to be top !

We need professional cooks coming from busy Asian cuisine operation

Authentic Chinese cuisine, Pan Asian cuisine

Requirements

- Prepare and cook a wide variety of Asian dishes using traditional wok cooking techniques.

- Ensure the highest quality and presentation of dishes, consistently meeting our culinary standards.

- Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop and refine recipes, ensuring a diverse and innovative menu.

- Maintain a clean and organized wok station, adhering to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.

- Monitor and manage inventory levels of wok station ingredients, placing orders as needed.

- Adapt to customer preferences and dietary restrictions while maintaining the authenticity of Asian flavors.

- Participate in the development of menu specials and promotions to attract and retain customers.

Applicant Requirements / Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Wok Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant or culinary establishment.

- Proficiency in traditional wok cooking techniques, including stir-frying and flipping.

- In-depth knowledge of Asian cuisine, ingredients, and flavors, with the ability to create authentic and innovative dishes.

- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.

- Excellent time management and multitasking skills, especially during peak dining hours.

- Effective communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with kitchen staff.

- A creative and adaptable approach to cooking, able to tailor dishes to customer preferences.

- Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy kitchen equipment.

- Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus but not required.

Benefits

Accommodation: Apartment/Studio is provided!

Salary starting from: 5,500 CHF Gross or 4,500 NET per month plus 13^th salary

+ bonus possible depending on turnoverâ¦

Only EU passport holder is possible due to the visa restrictions in Switzerland
