Your Responsibilities:
The Bid & Capture Manager Defense is responsible for structuring, managing, and continuously improving complex defense bid and capture activities, while building scalable processes and enabling the transition towards early program management in a growing defense business.
- You are responsible for the end‑to‑end bid management of defense opportunities, from opportunity qualification through proposal submission
- You coordinate and orchestrate all bid‑related activities across internal stakeholders (engineering, sales, legal, compliance, finance) in a highly complex organizational environment
- You ensure timely, compliant, and high‑quality preparation of RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs in international contexts
- You actively structure, plan, and drive bid activities with a high level of organizational discipline and transparency
- You support capture and win‑strategy activities, including customer, OEM, and partner coordination during pre‑bid phases
- You manage bid schedules, risks, decision gates, and management approvals with a strong focus on effectiveness and efficiency
- You contribute to the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of bid and opportunity management processes in a growing defense business environment
- You support the structured handover from bid to contract execution and early program setup
- You help establish scalable structures and ways of working for a still evolving defense business within the organization
Your Profile:
- You hold a university degree in engineering, business administration, or a comparable field
- You bring experience in bid management, capture management, project management, or a related function, ideally within defense, aerospace, or complex industrial environments
- You are recognized for your strong organizational talent and your ability to structure complex topics, processes, and stakeholder landscapes
- You are comfortable working in environments with evolving structures and actively contribute to building new processes and ways of working
- You combine a hands‑on, execution‑driven mindset with a strong focus on efficiency, quality, and reliability
- You demonstrate excellent coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills across functions and hierarchy levels
- You are willing and motivated to grow your role towards capture and early program management responsibilities
- You are fluent in German & English; additional languages are an advantage (Spanish / French)
