Global Procurement Sustainability Leader – Develop, implement, and oversee sustainable policies and strategies for key areas of the organization's procurement activities. Ensure buyers, suppliers and service providers meet sustainability goals and requirements.

3 main areas of responsibility:

Supplier Engagement - Develop a global roadmap for supplier engagement to understand their trajectory towards carbon neutrality in 2050. This blueprint should serve all suppliers/vendors/Third Party Intermediary categories.

• Logistics

Support buyer/supplier coordinated engagements. Train buyers/suppliers on subject of sustainability.

Scope 3 Capture -Develop a process (with internal assurance) to annually calculate the scope 3/category 1 emissions for Raw Materials, JV’s, Tolling & Contract Manufacturing. The calculation serves as a base for our scope 3 decarbonization strategy as a company.

Compliance - Responsible for awareness of compliance directives/legislature, specific to sustainable procurement, including impact evaluation and coordination of path forward approaches.

• Legislative developments – translate developments into strategy (e.g., recycled plastic use)
• Legal contracting framework – how to adapt our contracts with new/changing legislation in the field of sustainability
• Support organization with submissions for certifications, Celanese publications (i.e., annual sustainability report) and/or compliance requirements (e.g., CMRT, EcoVadis)
