Job Description



Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Intern to join our Indirect Spend team. The successful candidate will assist with various procurement tasks, including contract negotiations, creating and managing Microsoft Teams channels, and conducting contract reviews. This internship provides a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in procurement and develop skills that are essential for a successful career in supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Contract Negotiations:
    • Assist in preparing and conducting negotiations for smaller contracts with suppliers.
    • Support the Procurement Manager in analyzing terms and conditions to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
    • Document negotiation outcomes and update relevant databases.
  2. Teams Channel Management:
    • Create and manage Microsoft Teams channels for the procurement team and cross-functional projects.
    • Ensure effective communication and collaboration within the Teams environment.
    • Maintain organized and up-to-date records and documents within the Teams channels.
  3. Contract Reviews:
    • Conduct initial reviews of supplier contracts to ensure completeness and accuracy.
    • Assist in identifying and addressing potential risks and issues within contracts.
    • Collaborate with the legal team to ensure all contracts meet regulatory and company standards.
  4. Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Collect and analyze procurement data to identify trends and opportunities for cost savings.
    • Prepare reports and presentations for internal stakeholders to support decision-making processes.
  5. Administrative Support:
    • Provide general administrative support to the procurement team, including scheduling meetings, preparing meeting agendas, and taking minutes.
    • Assist in maintaining and updating procurement databases and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Teams.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
