Position Summary

We are looking for an AI Engineering & Data Science Intern, to support our team in shaping the future of digital transformation in nutrition and product development. Join our Innovation Unit – Data & AI team, where you will work at the intersection of data science, genAI, data engineering, and food science. This unique opportunity allows you to gain hands-on experience with AI agents, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and diverse datasets, including sensory and consumer insights, process parameters, and more.

A Day in the Life of an AI Engineering & Data Science Intern

• Support the exploration and prototyping of GenAI solutions, such as AI agents, prompt engineering, and Large Language Models (LLM) ‑based assistants that help scientists and product developers


• Contribute to building RAG pipelines that connect internal knowledge sources with Large Language Models (LLMs)


• Assess data quality to ensure information is accurate and reliable for analytics


• Support the creation of simple dashboards and tools to help make data easier to understand and use


• Assist with exploratory data analysis to uncover insights and support decision-making


• Extract, transform, and load (ETL) scientific data from various sources using advanced data manipulation techniques


• Document all work clearly to ensure transparency and reproducibility

What Will Make You Successful

• Current master’s student or a recent master’s graduate in data science, engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or a related field


• Strong interest in Generative AI, LLMs, AI automation, or intelligent agents


• Background in food science is a plus


• Curious, fast learner, eager to explore new technologies and approaches


• Collaborative spirit


• Familiarity with Python and Dash, or similar tools


• Good verbal and written communication skills in English
