 We are looking to hire an Actuarial Intern for a 6–12-month period to join our Central Pricing Team in Zurich, reporting to a Senior Pricing Actuary. In this role you will be responsible for several topics. In more detail your responsibilities may include: 

• Supporting our global Central Pricing Team and local Market Units to further develop pricing tools, primarily in Microsoft Excel and R.
• Expanding existing R frameworks for stochastic modelling.
• Actuarial and pricing review support.
• Collaborating with team members to understand requirements, communicate results and integrate models into broader reinsurance pricing and analytics frameworks.

About you 

We are looking for a strong actuarial student with R modelling skills who seeks challenge and has a desire to learn about new products, markets, and approaches. You wish to work in a dynamic and culturally diverse environment with colleagues possessing a wide and varied range of experiences. 

In addition, to be an ideal candidate you have the following background, skills, and mindset: 

• Graduated from or currently enrolled in a relevant university program in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science, or a related field. Making progress towards qualifying as an Actuary.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience using VBA is a plus.  
• Strong proficiency in R programming language, data manipulation and visualization, including tidyverse packages. Experience with R-shiny is a plus.
• Fluent in English.
