FP&A Data Automation Intern

Job purpose:

Join our global FP&A team in Geneva to support data automation and tooling projects that improve forecasting, reporting and analysis for the commodity business. You will work with FP&A analysts and IT stakeholders to develop, deploy and hand over automation solutions that make financial workflows faster and more reliable.

Key responsibilities:

• Assist in development and deployment of data automation solutions (ETL, scripts, dashboards, reporting pipelines).


• Translate user needs into technical requirements and implement solutions with guidance.


• Build documentation, training materials and run handover sessions so non-IT staff can maintain tools.


• Test, validate and troubleshoot automated workflows and reports.


• Support ad-hoc data analysis and automation proof-of-concepts for commodity-focused FP&A processes.

Required qualifications:

• Current student or recent graduate majoring in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science or related field.


• Proven experience or demonstrable involvement in data automation projects (scripts, ETL, RPA, Power Query, Python, SQL, or similar).


• Strong logical thinking and problem-solving; ability to understand user needs even without prior business domain expertise.


• Good communication and training skills; comfortable explaining technical solutions to non-IT users.


• Interest in the commodity industry.

Nice-to-have:

• Knowledge in Chinese (Mandarin/Cantonese) is a plus.


• Familiarity with finance/FP&A concepts, BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) or cloud data platforms.
