Internship - Embedded Software

We are seeking a highly motivated internship candidate to support our Flight Software team on Embedded Software topics. With your background in software development and system engineering, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving flight-critical software and hardware. Implementing new features on our in-house flight control system and overall avionics will also be a key part of your responsibilities. In our dynamic startup environment, you will need to be adaptable, and there is significant room for growth. The working location is Dübendorf ZH.

Our internship positions target Bachelor and Master students with a minimum commitment of 6 months and a potential interest in subsequently working with us.

Tasks

• Design, implement, integrate, and maintain real-time embedded software on various aircraft systems.
• Implement and test new features in a rapid development environment using your strong understanding of embedded software, microcontrollers, and more.
• Provide technical support to other stakeholders, such as Flight Test, Flight Controls, and Electronics.

Requirements

Required

• Background in computer science, robotics, control, systems, or a related field.
• Project experience working with C, C++, and Python.
• Hands-on problem-solving approach to engineering and excellent communication skills.
• Working proficiency in English.

Desired

• Good knowledge of object-oriented programming methodology and multi-layered system architectures.
• Experience with modern integrated development environments, microcontroller architectures, and debuggers.
• Experience in web development and IT infrastructure.
• Relevant project experience in the UAV sector.
