Internship Mechanical Engineering

Sentec provides healthcare professionals worldwide with non-invasive, continuous monitoring and effective therapeutic solutions.  

The goal is to support enduring change in clinical practice that reduces challenges of respiratory patients, improves healthcare outcomes, and alleviates cost.

Sentec applies latest scientific results and engineering technologies across the three core platforms transcutaneous monitoring, intrapulmonary percussive ventilation and electrical impedance tomography. The company research, develops and manufactures all products exclusively in-house.

Key Tasks

• Assist in characterization of prototypes
• Aid in the design of new modules or tools based on practical work and tests on the prototypes
• Bring your thoughts and ideas to the rest of the sensor development team to help us solve problems and bring new products to the market

• Bachelor student or degree in a technical / scientific field
• Experience with basic mechanical concepts
• CAD Experience: Catia
• Very good command of English (spoken and written). Conversational German is a plus
• Experienced in reading drawings, drawing generation and tolerancing

• Meaningful work on products that are life-saving or effectively support patient therapy
• Flat hierarchies, truly interdisciplinary workgroups
• The opportunity to contribute ideas, actively participate, and make decisions

Location: on-site at the Swiss Headquarters in Therwil (approx. 30 minutes from Basel SBB); Workload: full-time; Duration: at least 6 months.

Start date: August, September 2026
