Job Description - M&A Transaction Services - Intern January 2027

Eight Advisory was founded in 2009 in France by 8 former partners of Arthur Andersen / Big4 companies as a firm specialized in Transaction Services, Restructuring, and Transformation. Today, Eight Advisory has grown to 950+ employees (including 113 partners) in France, the UK, Belgium, Netherlands, USA (New York), Spain, Germany and Switzerland. Together with the Eight International Network, counting over 650 employees in more than 20 countries, we respond to a growing demand for financial advice from private equity firms, medium- and large-sized corporates, and investment banks.

We are currently looking for an ambitious and diligent individual to join our Transaction Services team in Zurich as an Intern (4-6 months). The Transaction Services team in Zurich mainly provides buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence services to support its private equity and corporate clients in M&A processes.

  • You will work as a fully integrated team member on buy- and sell-side Financial Due Diligence projects

  • From the start, you will be given responsibility on our Financial Due Diligence projects and you will receive an in-depth on-the-job training to deepen your understanding of the mechanisms of buy- and sell-side M&A processes.

  • You will be coached by a mentor who is available at any time to support you with professional or personal advice. Graduates may have the opportunity to be offered a permanent position after a successful internship.

Job requirements

  • Motivated, proactive, reliable and stress-resistant team member who is eager to assume responsibility and to work independently

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree from a recognized university/ business school with preferably a major in Finance, Accounting, business administration or similar

  • Previous internships or work experience in finance e.g. audit/ accounting/ M&A/ Controlling is a plus

  • Good accounting skills (IFRS, Swiss GAAP, etc.) and a basic understanding of business valuation

  • Excellent analytical skillset and an entrepreneurial mindset

  • Good MS Excel / financial modeling skills; experience with analytical tools e.g. PowerBI, Alteryx is a plus

  • Excellent German (preferably native speaker) and professional written and spoken English
