Accounts Payable - Remote Work

Job Description:

New York Life Insurance is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Associate to join our team on a part-time, remote basis. As an Associate Level Accounts Payable professional with at least 2 years of experience, you will be responsible for managing the company's payables and ensuring timely and accurate payment processing.

Responsibilities: 1. Review and process invoices in a timely manner 2. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies 3. Monitor and maintain vendor accounts to ensure accurate payment records 4. Prepare and process payments, including checks, ACH transfers, and wire transfers 5. Verify and approve employee expense reports 6. Assist with month-end closing processes 7. Generate monthly financial reports related to payables 8. Collaborate with internal departments and vendors to resolve payment issues 9. Maintain organized and accurate records of all payables transactions 10. Assist with ad-hoc financial projects as needed

Requirements: 1. 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or related field 2. Strong attention to detail and accuracy 3. Proficiency in financial systems and software, such as SAP or QuickBooks 4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 5. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines 6. Driven and resourceful personality traits 7. Strong strategic planning and problem-solving skills 8. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
