Part-time Maintenance and Grounds Assistant in Lausanne, Switzerland

A family based in Prilly is seeking a reliable and practical Maintenance, Grounds & Handyman Assistant to support the upkeep of their property. This is a hands-on, outdoor and maintenance-focused role, ideal for someone who enjoys varied physical work and takes pride in keeping a property in excellent condition.

Salary: CHF 25/hour gross

Schedule:

• Monday: 09:00 – 17:00
• Wednesday: 09:00 – 13:00
• Friday: 09:00 – 17:00

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a large private garden, including lawn care, pruning, planting, and seasonal upkeep
• Keep all outdoor areas, pathways, and garden spaces tidy, safe, and well-presented
• Assist with swimming pool upkeep, including surrounding area maintenance
• Carry out general handyman tasks and minor repairs across outdoor areas and property features
• Maintain outdoor equipment and ensure tools and storage areas are organised and in good working order
• Identify and report larger maintenance issues requiring specialist attention
• Provide occasional airport driving support for family members

Please note that no housekeeping duties are required, as these are managed separately. The role suits someone practical, self-sufficient, and comfortable maintaining a large property to a high standard.

• Valid Swiss / EU Passport or Swiss work permit
• Experience in gardening, maintenance, or handyman work
• Strong practical and repair skills with a proactive approach
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
• Valid driving licence and confident driving ability
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions

Salary: CHF 25 / hour gross
