Job Description:

Location: Bangkok, Thailand or Singapore (optional)

Type of Hiring: Permanent

Our esteemed client is actively seeking a talented individual to assume the role of Manager in Commercial and Marketing. This pivotal position entails overseeing the marketing and commercialization efforts for our client's oil production from their assets in Thailand. The successful candidate will lead the entire process, from tendering and negotiation to deal closure, collaborating closely with legal, operations, and finance teams.

Reporting directly to the Country Manager and Group CFO.

Key Responsibilities:

Foster and nurture relationships with existing clientele while exploring avenues for expanding our customer base.

Forge strategic partnerships with both existing and prospective clients.

Establish a robust network of opportunities to facilitate successful commercial transactions.

Ensure the integrity of deals by meticulously considering transaction structures, negotiation strategies, risks, and available resources.

Manage any ad hoc tasks and undertake additional assigned duties as necessary.

Key Requirements:

Minimum of 10 years' experience in crude oil marketing, ideally with a blend of in-house and trading desk exposure.

Familiarity with upstream off-take operations in Southeast Asia, particularly in Thailand.

Ability to work independently while fostering collaboration across various business units.

Proficiency in analysis, problem-solving, and financial acumen.

Strong negotiation skills, evidenced by prior successful commercial transactions in the industry.

Proven track record of delivering successful commercial outcomes.

Strong leadership skills with a respectful approach to motivating teams across different disciplines.

Desire and capability to collaborate effectively with operational and financial teams.

Ability to engage at all levels of an organization and represent the Company externally.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Self-motivated, ambitious, and hands-on, possessing an entrepreneurial mindset.

Ability to excel in a fast-paced, international environment and deliver results within tight deadlines.

Open to local or expatriate candidates residing in Thailand or Singapore.
