Job Description - Outside & Inside Sales Manager

Our client is a global expert in maritime transport and logistics who are now seeking a highly motivated and organized Outside and Inside Sales Manager to join their team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Selling to customers the solution best fitted to their needs by phone.
  • Participating in establishing the commercial action plan and in the agency sales segmentation.
  • Carrying out sales leads research, telephone canvassing, collecting and structuring information about clients, and following it up.
  • Structuring information about competitive rate evolution to enable the line to adapt its commercial policy.
  • Ensuring updates of commercial data in the information system.
  • Collecting commercial data and customer feedback in the Group system.
  • Identifying commercial market opportunities and developing new business.
  • Leading the Sales team and establishing team objectives and working principles (customer base is developed and enriched by the team).
  • Ensuring that team members deliver and strive to exceed the Sales Action Planning objectives and work as a team.
  • Resolving conflicts or issues that may arise within the authority level.
  • Taking direction from Manager and implementing initiatives to team members.
  • Motivating and inspiring team members to perform.
  • Identifying commercial market opportunities and prospects and following up with customers to develop and monitor the customer’s portfolio.
  • Selling Group products and services and Non-Maritime products in compliance with the pricing policy.
  • Receiving, and qualifying priority requests and processing their requests.
  • Planning and conducting commercial visits according to the commercial action plan and producing visit reports.
  • Ensuring follow-up on her/his customer's portfolio payment and contributing to recovering unpaid debt.
  • Participating in commercial events and developing a professional network within her/his commercial area.
  • Participating in establishing the Commercial action plan ensuring the right customer segmentation is selected in her/his area.
  • Ensuring updates of commercial data in the information system.
  • Coaching new staff on company systems and coaching existing staff on any new work procedures/processes.
  • Ensuring all targets are achieved and taking appropriate action when necessary.
  • Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of working experience at the management level.
  • Excellent presentation.
  • Good knowledge of the shipping/ forwarding industry.
  • Good command of spoken and written English.
  • Strong coordination & negotiation skills, able to solve unexpected difficulties.
  • Leadership skills, Assertive and tactful.
